I am an amateur photographer who has been asked to photograph a wedding.how do i photography a wedding?

i have no clue what photographs need to be taken. i have seen some really crappy wedding photography and i seen some really great wedding photography. what photographs need to be taken to make it great wedding photos. i do not want to let my friend down by shooting crappy photographs can anybody help?
