What is the appeal to prostitutes?

I have often wondered this; why would you WANT a prostitute in the first place? I mean, like what is the appeal? Sure, MAYBE a retreat at the Playboy mansion or something might be KINDA cool because of the whole fact that you can show off how much money you have and who your contacts are, but just the average everyday ones? The ones that cost like $50-100/pop kinda ones? You are not REALLY saying anything about how much money you have (sorry to tell you this but the VAST majority of North America can afford to binge on that amount every now and then) You are not proving yourself as swauve, good-looking, talented or any of that stuff (the ONLY reason they are having sex with you is because you paid them to do that) I don't see myself having THAT much crazy fun with somebody that I KNEW was only there for my party because I paid them. So what is it? If anything I would almost be kinda envious of the person on the receiving end actually, it is QUITE the compliment to get PAID to just act sexy and they get all the attention aswell, while you get no where NEAR as much :(
