What is a Mother to do?

I sent my daughter on a youth retreat for a week. I was informed that they wanted to lock up her cell phone while they are their, at the time this didn't concern me because I thought we will just let them know that we care more about her than her phone getting stolen... So she went off on her way.Then they told her that they wanted her phone I told the pastor that I did not care if it got stolen. For her safety I wanted her phone on her at all time's. He insisted that her phone would be a distraction she would be fine and that there was a buddy assigned to her. Well this is upsetting me that there was no phone call last night, or this morning. I understand she on a mission trip but this is ridiculous I feel it may cause a us to separate from the church. The last few text we got yesterday went out in mass to several people. They sounded rehearsed and not like something she would even say. ????
