Why did my partner get close to me then end it?

My boyfriend and I were best friends for 4 years and got together properly 8 months ago. We had an amazing relationship and I'm the last 2 weeks he has been even closer than ever (we were close anyway) and he started making a brilliant effort with my son, getting his spare room ready for my son when we were up staying at the weekend. We had a holiday to West coast America from Scotland booked for sept that cost a Lot of money. We had a lot of plans. He used to be married but never bothered to get a divorce as lots of people do then on Monday he heard he would be divorced within the week. He phoned me and ended our relationship very erratically. Telling me he didn't care (I know not to be true) and that he has feelings for his ex and will try to get her back. He changed his phone number and told me not to contact him again. I am more upset over the loss of friendship and my love. I don't know what to think. I think it was the shock of realizing the marriage was finally over and he isn't in control of it that had made him do this because we had one hell of a happy relationship. I am absolutely devastated. He has always been quite thin skinned and easily hurt and retreats to his shell pushing all that love him away. Thing is, spookily enough, I told him the morning he ended it that I'd had a dream he had ended it as he wanted back with his ex and he said "don't be silly, that will never happen". Then he went to work, got that phone call from her and our whole lives have changed. What can I do? Is it the shock of the divorce from a 25 year marriage with 3 kids or does he really not want me (because his actions were always loving and caring and he was always happy and said it himself).

I updated, and now Tumblr isn't working. Help, please?

Tumblr was working perfectly until my computer asked if I wanted to update to Internet Explorer 9. So I did. When I did so and I logged onto Tumblr, it looked f*cked up. (links were dark, I couldn't read it, etc) So I uninstalled it so it could go back to internet explorer 8. Now it's back to 8 but now tumblr freezes all the time, whenever I reblog something it freezes, links are there but I can't see them, etc. It's like really slow and freezes up too much. Help !!? What do I do ?! It was PERFECT before... now it's all crappy even though it's back to internet explorer 8 ? :( Help please.

Well, if you want to get her while she's sleeping, you can always go with the classic put-her-hand-in-a-glass-of-warm-water-an… but that's one that everyone probably already knows. Now, if you'll be sleeping at a hotel or whatnot, and she'll be sleeping in a four-poster bed, bring a huge roll of yarn with you. Tie one end to one post, then wrap it around all the other posts so you have a rectangle with an "x" in the middle. Then take the remaining yarn and tie it in random places so that it looks like they're sleeping in a giant spiderweb. Film their reaction when they wake up and can't get out of bed. It's priceless. :)

How to persuade your mom to get you a blackberry?

It is for my graduation. Originally, she was going to get me a $130 wallet, but now I realized I don't really need it. At the moment, I have a really crappy phone. Like, scratched, dirty, paint on it, etc. Some of the buttons don't work. So, I want to ask for a blackberry. I found a nice one for $165. My mom is all like "You don't need a new phone", "How will I know you won't wreck or lose this phone?" etc. I'm really bad at persuading, and arguing, so what do I say? How do I persuade her?

Well i'm pretty sure he has feelings for you too...he's just either too confused to admit to it or just scared to hurt his gf. him saying he messed up or something, probably means he felt he should have let you know about his feelings a long time ago...i would try to engage him in a long conversation and try to talk everything out. goodluck
